Web Desk: US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will run Venezuela until there is a proper transition of power.
He says that US Forces are ready to conduct another attack on Venezuela if necessary. President Maduro will face trial in the US on accusations of drug trafficking. He was also heading a drug cartel.
Donald Trump, in a press conference, said, “America achieved this in just a short period of time. Maduro was captured along with his wife, Cilia Flores, and both now face American justice. I want to thank the men and women of our military who achieved such an extraordinary success overnight with breathtaking speed, power, precision, and competence.”
He further added, “We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition. And it has to be judicious, because that’s what we’re all about. We want peace, liberty and justice for the great people of Venezuela, and that includes many from Venezuela who are now living in the United States and want to go back to their country”.
US President also said that not a single American service member was killed and not a single piece of American equipment was lost. They had many helicopters, planes and people involved in the fight, but not one piece of military equipment was lost, not one service member was more importantly killed.
Donald Trump while responding to a question also signalled at selling large amounts of Oil from Venezuela after building the infrastructure. He said the money would be spent on the welfare of the Venezuelan people.
Maduro along with his wife was taken out of the country in a special operation conducted by United States armed forces. He is currently in US custody and would soon be taken to New York.
