In a new motorway update, the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) announced several motorway closures.
Here is the list of the motorways that are closed for traffic due to dense fog.

- M-1: Closed from Peshawar to Burhan Interchange.
- M-3: Closed from Darkhana to Jaranwala.
- M-4: Closed from Sher Shah to Faisalabad.
- M-5: Closed from Sher Shah to Rohri.
- M-14: Closed from Hakla to Fateh Jhang and from the Indus River to Isa Khel.
- E-35: Closed from Kohliyan to Jhari Khas.
Due to the fog, visibility for the commuters gets extremely poor.
A day earlier, authorities closed the M1 from Peshawar to Burhan, the M3 from Faizpur to Darkhana, the M4 from Faisalabad to Multan, and the M5 from Multan to Zahir Pir for all types of traffic.
During the fog, the drivers have to use fog lights at all times, avoid speeding, and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
Travellers are advised to contact the helpline 130 in case of any queries and information regarding motorway updates.
The Traffic Police has advised the commuters not to travel in bad weather and to wait until the fog clears.
The officials said that once the fog clears, the motorways will be opened once again for traffic.
