The ex-senator and country top politician, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan on Saturday officially announced the formation of a new political party the ‘Pakistan Rights Movement’ (PRM).
In this regard, a ceremony was held in federal capital in which the party’s central leadership, workers and people from different walks of life participated.
Addressing the ceremony, Mushtaq stated that PRM will conduct politics according to the principles of the 1973 constitution and will struggle to ensure constitutional supremacy in the country. “Currently common man of country deprived of his fundamental rights, which is why his party will make equality, justice and public service the axis of its politics.
He said that the 1973 constitution recognises the sovereignty of Allah Almighty and guarantees Islamic principles, the full implementation of which is among the priorities of PRM. While highlighting the main objective of newly launched party he said that party’s aim is to end the monopoly of a few specific classes and establish socio-economic justice.
Former senator reiterated that PRM will struggle for speedy and affordable justice, freedom of expression, provision of quality education and health facilities, eradication of poverty and corruption, end of extrajudicial killings and military operations, and restoration of trust between federal units.
While describing the current parliamentary system as fake, said that there are restrictions on journalism and expression of opinion in the country, while unemployment, inflation, food insecurity, spread of drugs, environmental pollution and corruption have become serious national problems.
It was worth mentioned here that Mushtaq Ahmed, who left the JI after his arrival in the country following his release from Israeli prison a few months earlier had joined the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan, which is a political movement comprising six parties established for safeguarding the constitution.
On that time Mushtaq Ahmed called on TTAP Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, where the country’s overall existing political situation and the supremacy of law and the constitution were discussed. The alliance includes the biggest opposition party PTI, Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), Balochistan National Party (BNP-M), Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), and Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Musleemeen (MWM), while seasoned politician and chief of PKMAP, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, is heading the alliance.
