The timings of the schools in Karachi have been revised due to extreme cold.

The decision has been announced by the province’s educational minister for private and educational institutions.

Now, the start and dismissal times of schools in Karachi have been extended by one hour.

From Monday, the students in Karachi will go to their schools at 9am.

On Saturday morning, the temperature in Karachi dropped to a single digit, 9.3 degrees Celsius, for the first time this winter.

According to Chief Meteorologist Ameer Hyder Laghari, right now, the whole country is experiencing an intense cold wave that is an aftereffect of the recent rains.

He added that Karachi’s minimum temperature would gradually go up to 12°C to 14°C in the next three to four days.
