Rana warns KP CM Afridi against disrupting law and order

Rana view on KP CM's politics

Prime Minister’s adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah has warned that any attempt to disrupt law and order or undermine the political atmosphere would hold KP Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi personally responsible for the consequences.

In an interview Rana Sanaullah made it clear that PTI forthcoming planned countrywide shutdown strike on February 8 would fail miserably and after that PTI has no option but to come to the negotiating table.

He stated that government is not concerned about Sohail Afridi’s recent visits to Lahore and Karachi. However, he warned that any attempt to disrupt law and order or spoil the political atmosphere would make Afridi personally responsible for the consequences.

Responding a question, he said Political movements cannot succeed by addressing only a limited group of people, adding that PTI currently lacks serious preparation for the February 8 protest.  According to Rana Sanaullah, PTI is not in a position at present to launch or sustain any effective political movement.

The adviser also criticized PTI’s stance on national security, saying the party claims it does not support terrorism but avoids openly backing Pakistan’s security forces who are fighting terrorists. He described this as a contradictory and controversial narrative that should be abandoned. He emphasized that such ambiguity damages national unity at a time when security forces are making sacrifices to maintain peace and stability in the country.
