How to use Google Wallet in Pakistan?

Google Wallet Pakistan

Google has officially launched its mobile payment service, Google Wallet in 2025 in Pakistan that will provide users with a convenient and secure way to make payments online, in-app, and in-person using their Android devices.

With Google Wallet, users can connect their existing credit/debit cards that are stored in their Google accounts. Cards stored in Google accounts are automatically presented in the app so there is no hassle to add cards.

Those who do not have saved cards can add new ones by tapping on “Add a card,” agreeing to the terms, and completing a quick verification process. After being tokenised, the cards can be used to make secure transactions.

Currently, Google Wallet covers a variety of major banks in Pakistan consisting of Bank AlFalah, Bank of Punjab, Faysal Bank Noor, HBL, JazzCash, Meezan Bank and UBL, which covers Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards.

At present cardholders can make payments to any person or organisation that accepts contactless payments, or online and in-app payments.

Additional banks will be joining the platform in the near future which will include Allied Bank, Easypaisa Digital Bank, JS Bank and Zindigi giving a bigger reach of digital payments to the country in the near future.

Top online retailers such as Onic, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, and J. will also integrate Google Pay via PayFast and Safepay further optimising the ease of e-commerce.

Besides payments, Google Wallet also supports the ability to store digital items such as boarding passes, where Batik Air and Thai Airways are already available.

A traveller, for instance, can get in real-time notifications from departure and gate updates making their airport experience much smoother, or can tap-and-pay securely during international travel too.

Google Wallet aims to give Pakistani users a more secure, easier and more flexible way to pay online. By supporting financial transactions as well as digital items, the platform is poised to become a one-stop shop for people’s convenience and travel needs.
