Cold, Dry weather to continue across Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that cold and dry weather will continue in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, while hilly areas are likely to remain extremely cold.

The department warned that moderate to dense fog will continue in Punjab, upper Sindh and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which may disrupt road and air travel. It also said frost could form at a few places in the Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during early morning hours.

In Islamabad and nearby areas, PMD expects cold and dry weather, with a chance of frost in some places early in the morning.

Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will see cold and dry conditions, while hilly areas will remain very cold. Fog is likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan during morning and night hours.

Punjab will continue to experience cold and dry weather in most districts, while Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas will remain very cold. Dense fog is expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal, Jhang and Dera Ghazi Khan, with frost likely in parts of the Pothohar region in the morning.

In Sindh, PMD has forecast cold and dry weather in most areas, along with moderate to dense fog in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tando Jam and Mohenjodaro.

Balochistan will also see cold and dry weather, while northern districts are expected to remain very cold. Fog may form in areas such as Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Dera Murad Jamali, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi and Sibbi during the morning.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to experience very cold and dry weather, with frost expected at a few places in Kashmir early in the day.
