Cold and dry weather will continue across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, while very cold conditions will prevail in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog is likely to disrupt daily life in several districts of Punjab, upper Sindh and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said Islamabad and surrounding areas will experience partly cloudy and cold weather, with frost expected at a few places during early morning hours.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry weather will affect most districts, while hilly areas will remain very cold with partly cloudy skies. Fog is likely to persist in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan and nearby areas during morning and night hours.
Punjab will also see cold and dry weather in most districts, while Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas will experience very cold and partly cloudy conditions. Dense fog is expected to hit several districts, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and surrounding areas. Frost may develop at a few places in the Pothohar region during early morning hours.
In Sindh, cold and dry weather will prevail across most districts, with moderate to dense fog likely in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Larkana, Tando Jam and nearby areas.
Balochistan will experience mainly cold and dry weather, while northern districts will remain very cold and partly cloudy. Fog may develop in Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Dera Murad Jamali, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi and Sibbi during morning hours.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain very cold with partly cloudy weather, and frost is likely at isolated places in Kashmir during the morning.
