All Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Punjab have announced the schedule for the intermediate annual examinations for 2026.
Exam dates
The dates were finalised in a meeting conducted by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons held on January 15, 2026. BISE Faislabad formally issued the schedule; the same schedule will apply across the province, including major boards in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Gujranwala.
According to the official dates, Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Intermediate examinations will be held from May 20, 2026.
Officials said that the examination timetable has been finalised according to the provincial academic calendar. It will ensure that exams are held in an organised manner and that results can be prepared and released on time. The coordinated approach is meant to help both students and education authorities, to manage the process more smoothly.
Date sheets and roll number slips
With the exams still several months away, all of the Punjab boards will release detailed date sheets, roll number slips and information about exam centres prior to the exam dates. For now, the announcement gives students an early indication of when the key examinations will take place, allowing them to plan their preparation accordingly.
Announcement after matriculation exams
Typically, Punjab’s education boards announce intermediate exam dates only after finalising the matriculation schedule for Classes 9 and 10. This allows boards to plan exam centres, staffing and other logistics in advance, reducing the risk of delays.
