The rankings of players in One Day International have been released by the ICC, according to the new rankings Daryl Mitchell New Zealand’s batsman has become the number one batsman of the world in ODI cricket.
According to the new rankings the Kiwi batsman Daryl Mitchell has replaced Virat Kohli from the number one position. The Indian star batter Virat Kohli has now slipped into the second position.
Recently, in the ODI series played in India, a victory of 2-1 was achieved by New Zealand, marking New Zealand’s first ODI series win in India. Aryl Mitchel is currently at the peak of his career with 845 rating points.
This is not the first time that Daryl Mitchel was no 1 in ODI batting rankings, he was no 1 for three days in November after being replaced by Rohit Sharma. After Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli came to the top, but it was short-lived as he was replaced by Daryl Mitchel. As of now, Kohli is 50 rating points behind Mitchell.
Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran, in the new rankings also moved up one place to reach third position. Babar Azam, star batsman retained his sixth positionin the ODI batting rankings. Salman Ali Agha moved up one place and is currently on 16th position.
When it comes to T20 bowlers’ rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy retains the number one position. The Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has moveed up two places and reached the second position. The fifth position is retained by Pakistan’s spinner Abrar Ahmed.
The T20 batsmen ranking were also updated, the Indian batter Abhishek Sharma currently holds the top position while Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan retained his fifth position.
The latest ICC rankings show a shifting balance in international cricket, with strong performances shaping global hierarchy of cricket.
