Security forces in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have successfully foiled a major terror cell during a raid on a farmhouse, authorities said.
The operation, conducted jointly by the security forces police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), resulted in the seizure of explosives, weapons, and military-grade equipment.
What could have been a significant disaster has been averted.
According to officials, the recovered items included the following
- 02 × Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)
- Explosive material and IED components
- Prima cord
- Detonators
- 02 × Hand grenades
- Sniper rifle
- 10 × Magazines
- Hundreds of rounds of ammunition
- Medical kits
- Communication equipment
- SIM cards
- 03 × Laptops
- 03 × Mobile phones
- Various documents
Among the electronics recovered were three laptops and three mobile phones, in addition to various documents believed to be linked to the terror network’s operations.
The authorities are examining the materials to identify possible accomplices and connections.

The Indian magazine The Wire has said in its analytical report that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has emerged as an authoritative Chief of Defence Forces who is leading Pakistan’s armed forces.
According to the report, Pakistan has further organised and strengthened its defence structure in view of the changing situation in the region.
