PSL 11 players’ auction workshop scheduled for Sunday

PSL 11 auction

The players’ auction workshop for PSL 11 will be held by the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday, as preparations are underway for the upcoming 11th season.

Salman Naseer, Pakistan Super League’s Chief Executive Officer announced the workshop through his social media account and invited all the stakeholders to attend.

He also stated that further details regarding the event will be revealed soon.

The 11th edition of Pakistan Super League is scheduled to begin on March 26 and for the first time the tournament will be featuring 8 teams.

Earlier reports have indicated that February 14, 2026 has been finalised as the date for its player auction. If this happens a significant scheduling overlap will take place as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 would be running at that time.

In the World Cup Pakistan is scheduled to play against the Netherlands on February 7 and the United States on February 10. Pakistan will also face their arch-rivals India on February 15 which means that the PSL auction might take place one day before the anticipated match.

As mentioned two new teams will be added in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League. One of these franchises has revealed its name.

The team for Sialkot has announced its official name as Sialkot Stallionz. The name is a reference to the original Sialkot Stallions team that dominated in local T20 leagues.

The Sialkot Stallionz have also made their first major off-field signing ahead of PSL 11. They have signed Pakistan’s iconic all-rounder Shahid Afridi as the team’s mentor. Afridi as mentor will bring star power and experience to the Sialkot Stallionz.

Fans are also excited and waiting patiently for the official name reveal of the second added franchise.

The 11th season of Pakistan Super League is close and fans are closely monitoring every update regarding the tournament.
