Pakistan cricket team set for tough challenge against Australia

Pakistan Cricket team’s training camp for the upcoming T20 series against Australia will begin in Lahore on Sunday as the national team steps up preparations for the series.

Players named in the national T20 squad will report to the team hotel on Saturday night. The team will hold a three-hour training session at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

According to officials, the Pakistan T20 squad will play a practice match on January 26, followed by another three-hour training session on January 27.

Meanwhile, players from both Pakistan and Australia will attend a pre-match press conference on January 28. The first T20 match between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled to be played on November 29 at 4:00 pm.

It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has earlier announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Australia.

All three matches of the series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on the 29th and 31st of this month and the 1st of next month.

Salman Ali Agha has been appointed captain of the squad. Other members of the team include Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Usman Tariq.

Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have returned to the T20I squad after missing Pakistan’s three-match series against Sri Lanka in January.
