Are both former prime ministers friends now? The former prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has defended his old friend and ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif by saying that “I am a witness that Nawaz Sharif never committed financial corruption in the last 36 years.”
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi gave these remarks while speaking in a political talk show on a private media channel. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is a senior politician from Murree, who served as the 18th prime minister from August 2017 to May 2018. At that time, he was a part of the country’s largest party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
However, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi left PML-N ON December 16, 2023. After that, on June 2, 2024, he announced in an interview that he is going to launch a new political party, named “Awaam Pakistan.”

Visitors were seen taking photos and interacting with the former premier, creating a lively atmosphere despite the cold weather. Sharif and his family were spotted enjoying the snow-covered landscapes, adding to the festive mood of the popular hill station during the peak winter season.
Meanwhile, heavy snowfall continues in Malika Kohsar, Murree, leading to stranded vehicles on several roads and power outages in multiple areas.
