Web desk: Despite the party’s claims, Secretary General PTI Salman Akram Raja has confirmed that the PTI has decided to remove Gandapur and nominated Sohail Afridi for the CM position.
He further added that Imran Khan has demanded his resignation as well.

PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja, while talking to media representatives outside Adiala Jail, confirmed the removal of Ali Amin Gandapur from the post and said that Sohail Afridi will be nominated as the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that Imran Khan expressed sorrow over the major attack on the army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and held Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur responsible for the situation, saying he should no longer remain in office.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Salman Raja said that PTI founder Imran Khan has directed the removal of the KP Chief Minister and ordered that MPA Sohail Afridi be nominated for the position.
He added that Imran Khan was deeply saddened by the attack on the army in KP and believes that Ali Amin Gandapur is responsible for the deteriorating situation, which has gone beyond control.
Therefore, Imran Khan has decided that it is better to remove Gandapur from the post.
According to sources, Sohail Afridi, who has been nominated for the post of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is considered close to Aleema Khan.
Previously, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sources claimed that a decision had been made to replace Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Sources also claimed that Sohail Afridi was likely to be appointed as the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Barrister Gohar had said that all the rumours are a conspiracy to divide the party, and an attempt is being made to weaken the party by spreading false, fabricated news.
He had said that Ali Amin Gandapur remains the Chief Minister and that such claims are part of a conspiracy to create internal divisions within the party.

Ali Amin Gandapur Announces His Resignation
Ali Amin Gandapur has announced his resignation. “The position of Chief Minister was a trust of Imran Khan Sahib, and as per his order, I am returning his trust to him and resigning”, said Ali Amin Gandapur.
The Chief Ministership is a trust of the party and Imran Khan, he stated. Adding that he will leave it whenever they say.
Ali Amin Gandapur also said that Sohail Afridi will continue to have his full support and backing.
