Security forces have successfully eliminated at least 67 Fitna al Hindustan BLA terrorists.
According to the sources, the latest figures bring the total number of militants killed in Balochistan to 108, after 41 militants were eliminated in Panjgur and Shaaban over the past two days.
During the operation, ten personnel of the security forces and the police were martyred while fighting with terrorists.
Meanwhile, sources confirmed that 11 civilians were martyred in a separate attack attributed to the same militant group. The victims included five men, three women, and three children, all residents of Balochistan who had reportedly travelled to Gwadar in search of daily-wage labour. Earlier reports had placed the civilian death toll at five.
Officials said all militants involved in the attack on civilians have been killed. Follow-up and search operations are continuing in surrounding areas, with authorities indicating that more militant casualties may be confirmed.
There is widespread public anger in Gwadar over the killing of unarmed labourers. The attack, they said, underscores ongoing threats to peace and development efforts in the province.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for thwarting the enemy’s designs and praised the professionalism of the officers and personnel, saying the fight would continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country. He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani armed forces in their unwavering resolve to defend the homeland.
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan also paid tribute to the security forces for the ongoing major operation against terrorists in Balochistan.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Abdul Aleem Khan said the brave sons of the nation had honoured the defence of the homeland through their sacrifices. He added that law enforcement agencies fought enemy elements with courage and successfully foiled their plans.
