Balochistan: 133 Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists killed in two days, says ISPR
Earlier Security forces have killed 133 Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists in Balochistan in two days, ISPR said.
Pakistan’s security forces have killed at least 133 terrorists in a series of counterterrorism operations across Balochistan over the past two days, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
In a statement, ISPR said that on January 31, militants belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan carried out multiple attacks in Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni in an attempt to destabilise the province.
According to the military, the attackers targeted civilians in Gwadar and Kharan, killing 18 people. This number includes women, children, elderly citizens and labourers.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded immediately and launched coordinated clearance operations across the affected areas.
ISPR said that 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, were killed in prolonged and intense engagements.
The military also confirmed that 15 security personnel were killed during the operations.
“Sanitisation operations in these areas are being continuously conducted and the instigators, perpetrators, facilitators and abettors of these heinous and cowardly acts, targeting innocent civilians and Law Enforcement Agencies personnel, will be brought to Justice,” the statement said.
ISPR further claimed that intelligence reports had confirmed the attacks were planned and directed by terrorist leaders operating from outside Pakistan, who were in direct contact with militants on the ground.
Earlier, on January 30, the military said 41 militants linked to Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij were killed in separate operations in Panjgur and Harnai.
The statement read, “Earlier on 30 January, forty-one terrorists of Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij were killed in Panjgur and Harnai. With these successful operations in the last two days, the total number of terrorists killed in the ongoing operations in Balochistan has reached one hundred and thirty-three.”
With the latest actions, ISPR said the total number of terrorists killed in Balochistan in the last two days has reached 133.
Counterterrorism operations would continue under the national campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam” aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
