In the normal routine, the Metro bus service generally operates from 06:15am to 10:00pm. The buses travel with an interval of 2.25 minutes to three minutes between Pak Secretariat and Saddar Station.

Main event and schedule

The Federal Ministry on Kashmir Issues has issued a detailed schedule for the main event in the capital, which will include a solidarity walk, a rally, and a formal ceremony to mark the day.

According to the schedule announced, participants have been instructed to gather at Main Jinnah Avenue, Shaheed-e-Millat, China Chowk at 9:20am. A solidarity walk will be organised under the supervision of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs. The walk will be followed by a Kashmir Solidarity Rally, which will proceed from China Chowk to D-Chowk.

Officers and employees from all federal ministries are expected to take part in the walk. Federal ministers will join the participants from the Parade Ground Metro Bus Station and lead the rally towards D-Chowk.

The Cabinet Division has also issued an official notification, announcing a public holiday in the country.

Ceremony and tributes

A minute’s silence will be observed at 10:00am, marked by the sounding of a siren. During the ceremony, tributes will be paid to Kashmiri martyrs.

Speeches will also be delivered by government representatives, focusing on the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day and Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir issue. Officials said the event aims to reaffirm the country’s support for the Kashmiri people.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is marked every year across Pakistan with rallies, seminars, and public events. This year’s observances are expected to take place nationwide, with Islamabad hosting the main federal programme.
