Pakistani authorities get notorious Afghan propaganda account “Ahsan Agha” permanently suspended on X

Pakistani authorities have gotten the notorious Afghan propaganda account “Ahsan Agha” permanently suspended on X, according to reports on Monday.

The account had previously been active in spreading anti Pakistan propaganda and influencing public opinion.

Pakistani authorities contacted X’s administration to have the account permanently suspended. This makes it impossible for it to be reactivated.

Security sources said the move aims to prevent the spread of misinformation on social media and ensure the flow of accurate information to the public, observers say.

UN Security Council condemns cowardly terrorist attacks

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has strongly condemned a series of terrorist attacks that took place in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, describing them as “heinous and cowardly”.

In a press release issued on February 3, 2026, the council said the attacks occurred on January 31, 2026, across multiple locations in the province and resulted in the deaths of 48 Pakistani nationals.

Among those killed were 31 civilians, including five women and three children.

According to the statement, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The Security Council reiterated its position that terrorism, in all forms and manifestations, remains one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

The council said that acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of motivation or where they take place.
