Saudi Arabia’s renowned King Abdullah University of Science and Technology has invited applications for a fully-funded international internship under the Visiting Student Research Program 2026, in which undergraduate and master’s students from around the world, including Pakistani students, can participate.
According to international media reports, selected candidates will be provided with a monthly stipend of US$1,000, in addition to return air tickets, free accommodation on campus, full health insurance, visa support and access to modern research laboratories.
The internship will last for three to six months, during which participants will work on various research projects under the supervision of world-renowned faculty.
Opportunities are available in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), including computer science, engineering, energy studies, environmental science and biological sciences.
Eligibility: Candidates must be undergraduate (at least third year) or master’s students and have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Proficiency in English is mandatory, however, IELTS or TOEFL is not required. Applications will be submitted through the online portal, candidates will have to upload a latest CV, official academic transcript, letters of recommendation, personal statement and a copy of a valid passport.
According to the university, applications are received throughout the year and shortlisted candidates are notified within a few weeks.
