A detailed report about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and the former prime minister (PM) of Pakistan, Imran Khan, who is currently in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, has come to light on Thursday.
The report gives details about his health, daily routine, facilities provided to him in jail and more.
What is Imran Khan’s daily routine in jail?
As per the report, Imran Khan usually has breakfast around 9:45 AM. This breakfast includes a cup of coffee, porridge, and a few dates. He also exercises using the equipment available in the cell.
Around 1:15 PM, he is allowed to go for a walk in a secure compound after he is done with his bath.
There he can sit or walk. His lunch is served between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
The report states that his lunch menu is planned on a weekly basis, and the expenses are paid by his family.
The menu includes chicken on two days, meat on two days, lentils on two days, and sometimes chaat or snacks.
However, Imran Khan prefers fruits, milk, and dates instead of full meals. He is provided with bottled drinking water from a private company.
What facilities are provided to Imran Khan in jail?
The report also gives details of the prison cell. The cell has three high-voltage bulbs, a ceiling fan, and a blower heater.
Furniture includes two tables, one chair, a chaarpai (bed), a mattress, a wall clock, and a small rack.
Additionally, a 32-inch TV is mounted on the wall, but it was found not to be working.
There is no cupboard in the cell, and clothes are hung on five hangers. He has one mattress, four pillows, and two blankets. A prayer mat, prayer beads, and two towels are also available.
Around 100 books were placed on a table. Other items included two dumbbells, two apples, tissue paper, mouthwash, air freshener, shaving gel, and a shaving kit.
The toilet measures about 4.5 by 4.5 feet and is separated by a four-foot-high wall, with no roof.
Outside the toilet, there is a washbasin, a mirror, and a hot and cold water facility.
In the kitchen of the cell block, utensils, crockery, spices, and dry fruits were found stored in jars and containers.
However, the report noted that there is room for improvement in cleanliness.

Supreme Court provides relief to Imran Khan
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has granted major relief to Imran Khan.
The court ordered that he be given access to specialist eye doctors and directed that a proper medical examination be conducted by a medical team before February 16.
The Supreme Court bench also ordered that Imran Khan be allowed to speak to his sons, Kasim Khan and Sulaiman Khan, over the phone.
