How hot or cool will Ramzan be in Sindh and Punjab?

Ramzan is approaching as the holy month is anticipated to begin on the 19th  of February. People are concerned about the weather in Ramzan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast in Punjab and Sindh for the lunar month.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the nights will be cooler and the days will be slightly warmer in Sindh, particularly in Karachi.

Deputy Director, Anjum Nazir Zaighum, has said that the temperature in Karachi during the day will remain 32–34°C and it will be 19–21°C at night.

However, Anjum Nazir also confirmed that the westerly winds can also hit the city, and drizzling is also expected in the initial days of the holy month.

There is also a confirmation by the department that rain and thunderstorms are also expected in Punjab.

A private media channel reported that the moon of Ramzan 2026 is likely to be sighted on February 18, 2026. Experts say the crescent may be visible on the 29th of Shaaban 1447 AH.

Holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr  

According to the media reports, Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated in Pakistan on March 20 or 21. Every Year, the Pakistani government announces a three-day holiday for public and private institutions on Eid. However, the holidays on the religious festival would be between March 20 and 23.

 On the other hand, Eid-ul-Azha would be celebrated after two months in May, and Eid-ul-Azha holidays are expected between May 27 and 29.

Ashura (9th and 10th Muharram 1448 AH) will be observed on June 24 and 25 (Wednesday and Thursday).
