With effect from February 16, 2026, the new rates will be: HSD-Rs275.70, and petrol will be elevated to Rs258.17.
New prices set
Under the proposal, petrol was set at Rs257.56 per litre. High-speed diesel was fixed at Rs273.78 per litre.
Kerosene oil was priced at Rs179.80 per litre, while light diesel oil was set at Rs160.96 per litre.
Officials said the revised diesel rate was to take effect from 16 February.
Govt approved revised fuel prices
The government approved revised fuel prices after a review of market conditions, officials said.
The Petroleum Division confirmed that the new rates were formally announced following approval by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The revised prices were set for consumers across the country and were to remain in place until 28 February.
Decision based on market trends
Authorities said the decision was taken after petrol rates, domestic fuel trends and broader market conditions were reviewed over the previous two weeks.
The Petroleum Division stated that supply factors and demand conditions were assessed before a decision was made on maintaining the existing pricing structure in certain categories.
Officials confirmed that fuel prices in Pakistan were reviewed on a fortnightly basis. They said the policy was aimed at balancing consumer relief with fiscal requirements.
Any further changes were expected after the next scheduled review at the end of the pricing period.
