The government of Punjab has announced the good news for the students, who failed or received supplementary results in matric exams in the year 2024-25.
Such students can now register themselves free of cost for technical and vocational training courses online.
As per the officials, the administration has initiated this under the Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Department.
The main aim of the program is to assist those who are young, so they can avoid being unemployed in the future by acquiring practical skills that may enhance their chances of acquiring better job opportunities.
A letter has been sent to all educational boards in the province of Punjab to ensure that eligible students are informed timely about the opportunity.
Through this program, students can acquire hands-on training and better their future by getting to learn useful skills without being burdened by any cost.
Class 8 Examination 2026 Date Sheet Announced
In other news, The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority has published the official date sheet of the Class 8 Annual Examination 2026.
Exam Schedule
The four-day examination will start from March 9, 2026, up to March 12, 2026. All the exams will be conducted in the morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- March 9 (Monday): Mathematics
- March 10 (Tuesday): Urdu
- March 11 (Wednesday): English
- March 12 (Thursday): Science
The authority said that remaining grade 8 subjects will be taken by schools based on the School-Based Assessment (SBA) model using the IBS facility.
The schedule of other subjects as well as End of Year Term Assessment 2026 for other classes will be announced separately.
Important Instructions to Students
Students are not allowed to bring calculators, mobile phones, smart watches and any electronic devices in the examination centre.
They should arrive in the exam hall at least half an hour before the start of their paper.
The candidates are to bring their Roll Number Slip and B-Form for Entry.
They also should carry a blue or black ballpoint pen and a clipboard. For the Mathematics exam the students need to bring their own Geometry box with them.
