PU praises QASF for providing Rs55m scholarships to deserving students

Punjab University (PU) on Monday recognised the generous contributions of the Qasim Ali Shah Foundation (QASF), which has provided scholarships exceeding Rs55 million to deserving students.

Currently, 107 students are benefiting from monthly stipends through the ‘Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program.’

According to PU sources, a special ceremony was held at the institution, attended by the esteemed motivational speaker and educationist Qasim Ali Shah, along with Prof Dr Hafiz Anwaar Asghar, Director of PU Planning & Development, and the students.

PU QASF stands for youth development

During his address, Qasim Ali Shah noted that QASF, established in 2017, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to nurturing youth through personal development, leadership training, and motivational learning opportunities.

He emphasised the foundation’s belief in the significant potential of young individuals, focusing on capacity building, self-motivation, and skill development to cultivate future leaders for the advancement of society and Pakistan.

He mentioned that, as part of the ongoing collaboration from March 2025 to February 2026, 107 PU students are receiving a monthly stipend of Rs10,000 each.

By December 2025, a total of Rs9.33 million had been distributed to the current cohort.

Overall, from January 2021 to December 2025, the foundation has awarded scholarships totaling Rs55.13 million to PU students.

Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program receives applaud

He further added that the Taleem Mumkin Scholarship Program has so far supported 304 students, including 197 graduates, ensuring that deserving students can continue their education through consistent financial support.

On this occasion, Director P&D Prof Dr Hafiz Anwaar Asghar presented the portfolio of the Student Financial Aid Office, stating that the selection process is conducted with strict adherence to fair, transparent, and merit-based criteria.
