Date changes can be made up to 14 days from the original travel date. Passengers may also request a refund for the unused value of their ticket.

The airline also said that it is currently experiencing high call volumes, so wait times may be longer than usual.

Passengers who are travelling within the next 48 hours have been also advised to contact the airline directly.

The people who booked through third party websites or travel agents should reach out to them for assistance in this matter.

Passengers already in Doha have been advised to visit the official Qatar Airways update page for booking help.

Qatar announces major visa relief

The Ministry of Interior of Qatar has announced that all entry visas that have expired or are about to expire will be automatically extended for one month starting February 28, 2026.

The Ministry said the extension will be processed through approved electronic systems.

No fees are required, and applicants do not need to visit offices or submit new applications as well.

For visas with violations before February 28, people have to first pay the fine for overstaying.

Once the fine is settled, the extension and fee exemption will apply from the same date.

The Ministry added that it will continue monitoring the situation to ensure legal stability for residents and visitors.

People were also advised to stay indoors, limit movement to emergencies, avoid windows and exposed areas, and follow official instructions.
