The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the deadline for new admissions and enrollment of continuing students for the Spring 2026 semester, according to reports on Tuesday.
Students can now submit their forms until March 30, 2026, with a late fee. This fee includes four components.
The extension applies to several programs. These include Matric, Intermediate, BS, Teacher Training, Associate Degree Programs, and diploma and certificate courses offered in the Spring 2026 semester.
AIOU extends enrollment, admission deadline extended
Earlier, AIOU had extended the enrollment date for continuing students until February 25, 2026, without any late fee.
Under that earlier extension, new admissions were also open until February 25 without late charges.
The programs then included Matric, FA, Associate Degree (BA, BCom, BBA), BS, B.Ed, postgraduate diploma programs, and various certificate courses.
According to the university administration, the deadlines for MS, MPhil, and PhD programs could not be extended.
The reason is that the entry test schedule has already been announced. Entry tests for these programs are set to take place from February 23 to February 26.
