Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has shared a fresh update on the ongoing military Operation Ghazb lil Haq, confirming significant losses inflicted on the Fitna Al Khawarij, Afghan Taliban.
In a message posted on X, Tarar said that 663 Afghan Taliban operatives have been killed, while more than 887 others have been injured since the start of the operation.
He further stated that 249 Afghan check posts have been destroyed, while Pakistani forces captured 44 posts during the operation.
According to the minister, 224 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery guns belonging to the Afghan Taliban have also been destroyed.
Tarar added that 70 locations across Afghanistan have been effectively targeted through air operations, describing the strikes as part of ongoing efforts under Operation Ghazb lil Haq.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan conducted a targeted operation against terrorist installations inside Afghanistan on the night of March 12–13, 2026, according to sources.
The operation reportedly targeted locations linked to terrorist groups and their support infrastructure in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar. Security officials stated that the strikes focused on logistic bases and camps allegedly used by militants involved in activities against Pakistan.
The released video footage of the operation shows that the strikes were carried out with precision and were aimed only at installations that directly or indirectly support terrorism from within Afghan territory.
Sources maintained that no civilian population or civilian infrastructure was targeted during the operation. They rejected claims circulating in some Afghan media and statements by Afghan authorities that civilians were harmed, describing such reports as misleading.
