Lakki Marwat

Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district, resulting in the killing of five militants.

The operation aimed to neutralise active militants in the area and dismantle their terrorist network.

According to security sources, during the operation, Pakistani forces effectively targeted the militants’ hideout. Following a heavy exchange of fire, five militants were killed.

The slain militants were reportedly supported by India and involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Many weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants.

Authorities said these terrorists were actively planning attacks in the area and targeting security forces.

Security forces confirmed that operations are ongoing in the area to apprehend other India-backed militants. The operation is part of the federally approved National Action Plan campaign, “Azm-e-Istihkam,” aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism in the country.

Officials stated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies are taking all possible measures to eradicate terrorism and will continue operations to dismantle terrorist networks across the country.
