Quetta Gladiators reveal new leadership for PSL 11

Quetta Gladiators, former champions have announced their captain and coaching staff for Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) 2026, which is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.

The captain for Quetta Gladiators for the 11th edition of PSL will be Saud Shakeel.

Moin Khan the former Pakistani wicket keeper will be serving as the head coach.

Sarfaraz Ahmed who used to captain Quetta Gladiators has been named team director.

Iqbal Imam has been appointed as assistant coach and former Pakistani bowler Wahab Riaz has been appointed as bowling coach.

Azam Khan has been named as the team manager.

Quetta Gladiators has also signed the West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph. He is a direct replacement for the Australian fast bowler Spencer Johnson.

The reason for the change was confirmed by franchise’s social media channels on Sunday. Johnson will not be available due to personal reasons.

PSL 11 will be the first edition to have eight teams and will run for 39 days. The two new teams are Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.

This edition will have a total of 44 matches played. The first match will be played between the new team Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen and the defending champions Lahore Qalandars of March 26.

10 group stage matches will be played by each team and the top four teams will advance to the playoffs.

The final is planned to take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium on May 3. May 4 has been reserved as a contingency day.

There will be a total of six venues this edition. The venues include Peshawar and Faisalabad which will be hosting PSL games for the first time. The other venues include Multan, Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
