Eid ul Fitr prayer timings, venues announced in Karachi: check here

Eid ul Fitr 2026 will be celebrated across Pakistan on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The decision was made after the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee confirmed that the Shawwal moon was not sighted anywhere in the country on Thursday.

Most Eid prayers in Karachi will take place shortly after sunrise. The majority of them are scheduled between 6:45 AM and 7:45 AM.

However, some mosques will hold later prayers up to 10:00 AM to manage larger crowds.

In many large mosques and open grounds, more than one Eid namaz will be held to accommodate the number of worshippers.

Authorities have also advised the people that they reach their nearest mosque early to avoid congestion and rush.

Security and traffic arrangements will also be in place around major prayer venues.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Karachi on Eid ul Fitr 2026. This is expected to provide relief from the ongoing heat wave.

Eid ul Fitr announced for Friday in parts of KP

Eid ul Fitr has been announced in Mardan for Friday with at least 17 testimonies of moon sighting on Thursday.

Earlier, some parts of Bajaur also announced that they will be celebrating Eid ul Fitr on Friday.

Despite the official announcement by the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee that the moon had not been sighted, various areas of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) have announced to celebrate the Eid on Friday.
