Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, spoke to his sons on Eid ul-Fitr during a 30-minute phone call from Adiala Jail, according to the jail officials.
Sources at Adiala Jail said the conversation lasted around 25 to 30 minutes.
His sons, Qasim Khan and Suleman Khan, were both on the call.
Officials said the discussion focused on his health and general well-being.
They described the exchange as calm, adding that Imran Khan appeared in good spirits after speaking to his children.
Health and eye treatment
Concerns about Imran Khan’s health have also been raised by his sisters during his time in custody.
Media reports suggest he has undergone medical check-ups, including treatment related to his eyes, while in jail.
He received treatment from specialists at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, where he was provided with proper medical care.
Officials have not shared detailed medical updates publicly, but say arrangements are made as required.
Ongoing attention on prison conditions
The Eid call comes amid continued focus on Imran Khan’s communication and access to family while in custody.
Authorities have allowed limited contact under prison rules, with calls and meetings subject to approval.
The situation at Adiala Jail remains under scrutiny as legal proceedings involving the former prime minister continue.
