Rawalpindi completes citywide cleanliness drive on Eid ul Fitr

The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) successfully completed a comprehensive cleanliness operation across the city in celebration of Eid ul Fitr, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for the residents.

As part of a special sanitation initiative, RWMC conducted thorough cleaning of mosques, eidgahs, graveyards, parks, and various public areas, which provided citizens with a clean and healthy environment that received widespread appreciation.

In preparation for Eid prayers, all major and minor mosques and eidgahs were cleaned to accommodate worshippers, while graveyards were also tidied up to create a pleasant atmosphere for visitors paying their respects to loved ones.

RWMC teams focused particularly on parks, recreational areas, and bus terminals, where not only was cleanliness upheld, but washing operations were also performed to improve overall hygiene conditions.

In spite of the rainfall, sanitation workers in Rawalpindi continued in their efforts around the clock during Eid ul Fitr.

Drainage in low-lying regions was effectively managed, offering timely relief to residents and preventing any significant issues.

An anti-littering campaign was also launched during Eid to enhance public awareness regarding cleanliness.

Citizens actively engaged and supported the initiative aimed at maintaining the city’s cleanliness.

RWMC upheld its commitment to providing a clean and healthy environment during Eid, with residents describing its performance as exemplary and expressing appreciation for the company’s efforts.
