Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has now finalised a special emergency plan for 10th Muharram procession and gatherings.
A Code Red has also been imposed for the processions.
On the other hand, Rescue 1122 officers along with staff have not been granted leaves for timely emergency responses.
The emergency plan includes rescue posts being set up at major locations across the city at different procession routes.
Rescue personnel will be stationed at key locations across Rawalpindi.
A total of 32 ambulances, 24 fire and rescue vehicles along with 100 motorbike emergency service units will also be deployed by Rescue 1122.
Emergency resources including medical supplies, firefighting and rescue equipment will be available inside all vehicles.
According to the spokesperson, all stations and officers of the Rawalpindi unit have been issued instructions to ensure an immediate response in case of any emergency.
Resources and emergency responses will further be closely monitored under special arrangements.
Rawalpindi citizens have also been advised to cooperate with rescue personnel on the occasion of 10th Muharram.
They have been informed to immediately contact the 1122 helpline in case of any emergency situation.
Muharram procession to begin in G-6 Islamabad
The notification comes after the announcement of Muharram routes in different parts of Islamabad.
The main procession will begin from Markazi Imambargah in G-6/2. It is expected to end at this location after it passes through the pre-approved route.
The route for the Muharram processions includes Luqman Hakeem Road, G-6 Service Road, Saddar Road, Street no 33 and 40 in G-6/1, Municipal Road, Melody Chowk, Shuhada Chowk, Aabpara police station and Polyclinic. It will then return to Luqman Hakeem Road.
