Karachi received rain early on Thursday (today), bringing much-needed relief from the city’s recent warm conditions.
The rain came after the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) warned of a thunderstorm.
Light showers were first reported in central areas such as Saddar, Clifton, MA Jinnah Road and the Old City Area before extending to northern areas including North Karachi, New Karachi and Surjani Town.
Before the rainfall, strong gusty winds hit the port city, showing a shift in weather conditions.
Although the showers remained light, they were enough to create a drop in temperature, with cooler breezes adding to the pleasant atmosphere in several parts of the city.
No major disruptions were reported, while intermittent rainfall is likely to persist in some areas, according to met office.
