Court issues arrest warrant against KP CM Afridi

The District and Sessions Courts, Islamabad, have issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for his failure to appear in a case concerning misleading allegations against state institutions and defamation.

Civil Judge Abbas Shah of the District and Sessions Courts, Islamabad, heard the case filed against Sohail Afridi. The court has ordered the arrest and production of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned until April 9. Additionally, the NCCIA has registered a case against Sohail Afridi under the PECA Act.

It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, while addressing the US President, stated that our Prime Minister is Shehbaz Sharif.

He expressed this during a joint press conference in Islamabad this week, along with PTI Provincial President Junaid Akbar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam.

In response to a question, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said, ‘I would like to tell US President Donald Trump that our Prime Minister is Shehbaz Sharif. Israel and America will never want Pakistan to develop. Which Jew would want an Islamic nuclear power to progress?”

He added that only the people can render the founder of PTI irrelevant and that they will bring real freedom to the country through their own strength.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also said that the federal government is treating the people of the province like a stepmother. “We were supposed to file the FC case, but the meeting was not held,” he added.

During the joint press conference with Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam and PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar, Afridi further stated that what is happening to Pakistan’s largest political party, PTI, and the treatment of Bushra Bibi and her sisters is unprecedented.
