The federal and provincial governments are considering a smart lockdown amid an energy crisis due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. According to the social media reports, one of the business community organisations in Karachi has announced its support for the government’s “smart lockdown”, saying it is ready to close shopping malls and markets at 8:30 pm.
The details also confirmed that the business community organisation said that it will support the provincial government’s decision regarding the smart lockdown in the city to deal with the energy and fuel crisis.
Sindh Tajir Ittehad’s point of view
Chairman Sindh Tajir Ittehad, Sheikh Habib, said that the entire business community of the province is firmly standing with the Sindh government and fully supports the government’s decision regarding the smart lockdown in Karachi.
Sheikh Habib said in his statement that the steps taken by the government to save energy are the need of the hour.
He also said that the business community in Karachi and the entire Sindh will support every decision of the federal and Sindh governments regarding market closures.
Sheikh Habib also said that the initiative regarding market closure will help to overcome the fuel and energy crisis in the country.
Markets and malls closed at 8:30
Fahim Noori, President of the All Presidents Alliance of Market and Mall Association, fully supported the smart lockdown and said that the business community of Karachi is ready to close shopping malls and markets at 8:30 pm.
Fahim Noori also said that the world is moving towards World War 3, and we really need to think for Pakistan by forgetting all political differences.
He urged people of Karachi to support every decision of the government regarding the smart lockdown in Karachi and other cities of Pakistan.
