Pakistan International Cricketer and player of PSL’s The Pindiz, Naseem Shah, is in trouble after his tweet on X against the Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. Earlier, Naseem Shah wrote on X against CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz when she entered the Gaddafi Stadium as the chief guest on PSL’s opening match in Lahore.
Naseem Shah wrote on his X, mentioning Maryam Nawaz, “Why is she treated like the queen at Lords?” After his tweet, Naseem Shah faced severe criticism on social media, particularly on X.
Several social media users criticised Naseem Shah for doing political commentary on X, and some sarcastically suggested that he leave cricket and join politics.
At the same time, multiple analysts and journalists suggested that the government cancel Naseem Shah’s PSL deal for violating the contract rules.
As a Pakistani cricketer, Naseem Shah can’t post anything related to politics and against state institutions or political leaders.
Will the government cancel Naseem Shah’s deal?
There are no such reports regarding the cancellation of Naseem Shah’s contract as of yet. However, multiple sports journalists and analysts are claiming that Naseem Shah will definitely face consequences after this tweet against CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
One of the prominent journalists said that CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz was the chief guest at PSL’s opening match in Lahore, but Naseem Shah has no basic decency to give respect to the guest.
Naseem Shah is basically from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and he started his career as a fast bowler in 2019.
Naseem Shah deleted the tweet
It is important to mention that Naseem Shah had deleted the tweet against CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz after 13 minutes and made an excuse that his X account was hacked.
However, Naseem Shah denied the posting against CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
