Hamza Ali Abbasi has issued a public statement distancing himself from a case involving his sister, Dr Fazeela Abbasi, after recent media coverage linked his name to the matter.
In a written clarification released on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Abbasi said he was not connected to the case in any way and was not under investigation by any authority.

In his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Hamza Ali Abbasi said some reports had created the impression that he was involved in the matter concerning his sister.
He rejected that suggestion, stating he had no role in the case “in any capacity”.
“I am not under any investigation by any agency,” he said, adding that the legal and professional matters related to his sister were separate from him.
Expresses support for Fazeela Abbasi
While distancing himself from the case, Abbasi expressed support for his sister, describing her as an established professional with a successful career.
He said he had confidence in her integrity and believed her position should be heard.
He also said he expected institutions to handle the matter fairly and ensure justice.
Requests privacy as case continues
Abbasi said the case is currently sub judice and that any public response should come from his sister if she chooses to speak.
He requested that he not be asked for comments or included in coverage related to the case, as he is not a legal party.
Warning against further association
In his statement, Abbasi also asked media organisations not to link his name to the case going forward.
He said any continued association could lead him to consider legal action to protect his position.
There has been no official comment from relevant authorities regarding the case involving Dr Fazeela Abbasi.
