US Vice President says that the country will leave Iran war soon

Iran war

United States (US) Vice President JD Vance has said that the country will soon exit the Iran war.

During an interview, he said, “I think the president has been very clear about this: We’re not interested in being in Iran a year down the road, two years down the road. We’re taking care of business, we’re going to be out of there soon, and gas prices are going to come back down.”

Vance conceded that petrol prices have increased as a result of the conflict, but said they would come down soon. “This is a very, very temporary reaction to what is ultimately going to be a short-term conflict.”

However, as of today, Iran is still being bombed by the US and Israel.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he had held a phone conversation with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Sharif said he thanked the Iranian president for his appreciation of Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate dialogue to stop the US-Israeli war on Iran.

He briefed Pezeshkian on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach, including engaging with the US and Gulf countries.

Pakistan to host FMs

Pakistan is set to host the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt from March 29-30 for “in-depth discussions” on a variety of issues, including efforts to reduce the ongoing tensions in the region amid the US-Israeli war on Iran.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Dar confirmed that “US-Iran indirect talks are taking place through messages being relayed by Pakistan”.
