Prominent businessman Aamir Safdar Awan, owner of Toyota Motors, Aabpara, was killed in a posh area of the capital city Islamabad during a robbery attempt.
As per media reports, of Aamir Safdar Awan was shot last night during a seemingly robbery attempt at his farm house near Chak Shehzad, in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station.
Five armed robbers entered the house of Aamir Safdar and shot him while he was sleeping in his bedroom.
He however, succumbed to his injuries at Shifa International Hospital on Monday evening
CCTV of the robbery attempt has emerged and police has launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile in another tragic shooting at a mini exchange office in Sector I-8 of Islamabad a security guard shot and killed an office boy.
According to sources, the suspect, identified as Muhammad Umar, opened fire on a the office boy named Danish Sagheer, who worked at the same office. Danish died on the spot.
Police acted swiftly and arrested the suspect, recovering the weapon used in the crime.
Authorities said further investigation is underway, and the motive behind the shooting is being probed.
Police added that initial evidence has been collected and more details will be shared soon.
