Khawarji commander eliminated by security forces amid IBO near Pak-Afghan border

Pakistan security forces carried out a well-coordinated intelligence-based ground operation against Fitna al Khawarij along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The development comes after the recent series of terrorist attacks in Pakistan that targeted the innocent people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and the Pakistan Rangers Camp in Karachi,

This operation included targeted strikes against the hideouts of terrorists from Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al Khawarij. It has resulted in the deaths of twenty-nine khawarij.

On June 28, 2026, security forces launched an intelligence-driven ground operation against a terrorist group near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This operation led to the elimination of high-value Khwarji Commander Khan Farosh, also known as Zabal, along with three terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Jamaat ul Ahrar, while several others sustained injuries.

Continuing with Operation Ghazb Lil Haq, and based on reliable intelligence, security forces targeted terrorist camps and hideouts belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al Khwarij during the night of June 28/29.

Precision strikes in the border region resulted in the destruction of three targets in Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar, killing twenty-five terrorists.

A large amount of weapons and ammunition stored in these camps and hideouts was also destroyed during the operation.
