The Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, on Sunday stated that Pakistan would consider buying oil from Iran after the sanctions are lifted.
He added that the end of the conflict would prove beneficial for Pakistan’s economy.
The Minister added that Israel is heading towards an inevitable destruction. The United States (US) and the European Union (EU) are now distancing themselves from Israel, he said.
The region along with global economy will continue to face the consequences of the US-Iran conflict over the next two years.
The Minister further added that India was financially supporting Fitna al Khawarij. He appreciated the successful operations of Pakistan’s security forces against Indian proxies.
Rana Tanveer Hussain also mentioned that any political party that is loyal to the country and its people must accept the values of the Charter of Democracy.
He criticised the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), saying that he should look into his own leader instead of making comments on the Prime Minister.
US allows Iran to export and sell crude oil
The development comes after the United States (US) allowed Iran to export crude oil and petrochemical products after issuing a new general license.
The US Treasury Department authorised the production, delivery and sale of Iranian oil, a move promised under an agreement reached by Washington and Tehran last week.
US Treasury Secretary stated in a social media statement that sanctions on Iranian oil and petrochemical products were being temporarily eased. He said the decision was taken after recent talks held in Switzerland.
According to the license, Iran will be allowed to export and sell crude oil until August 21, 2026.
