Pakhtun Digital is one of the prominent and major media outlets in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), covering politics, terrorism, climate change and multiple other fields.
However, the Chief Editor of Pakhtun Digital, Kashif Uddin Syed, said while speaking to ARY News that Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi’s brother, Amir Afridi, is trying to put pressure on Pakhtun Digital.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakhtun Digital earlier exposed the PTI government’s corrupt practices in the province. However, the chief editor of Pakhtun Digital said that Sohail Afridi’s brother, Amir Afridi, sent a notice for 50 million damages against the province’s biggest digital media outlet.
Pakhtun Digital believe in journalism of truth
Mr Syed also said, while speaking to ARY News, that Pakhtun Digital, as a media outlet, believes in serious and authentic journalism and will continue exposing individuals and parties who are in power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On the other hand, the notice by Amir Afridi explained why the tweets and analysis of politicians are being published on media outlets, and it’s a very baseless and vague statement by the henchmen of the fascist PTI government.
Pakhtun Digital will continue to raise its voice for truth and justice
Kashif Uddin Syed, while standing by his stance, said that Pakhtun Digital will continue to raise its voice for truth and justice despite all kinds of pressure and is ready to face any legal challenge.
Similarly, Mr Syed also confirmed while speaking to the private media channel that Pakhtun Digital will continue doing the journalism of truth against the people in power.
Kashif Uddin Syed also said that exposing the corruption of politicians and criminals is the basic responsibility of journalism.
