KP board announces annual exam timetable for class 9th and 10th

The 9th and 10th annual examinations started throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, according to education authorities.

There are 917, 532 students taking exams under eight educational boards throughout the province, and 3,396 examination centres have been set up across the province.

Officials have established 1,808 examination halls for male students, with 1,133 halls assigned to female candidates.

Authorities have deployed 23,708 personnel to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examinations. CCTV cameras have also been installed at examination centres for monitoring.

The administration of the board has also claimed that Section 144 has been imposed surrounding the examination halls to maintain law and order and to stop any untoward incidents.

Timetable issued for government schools

In a separate development, a new timetable has been issued for government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the notification, primary schools will start at 7:30 am, while closing time will be 1:35 pm.

Morning assembly will now include moral training, student speeches on different topics, and practical activities. These have been made mandatory.

Students will receive moral education three days a week through speeches, and three days through skits.

School heads have been directed to organise a weekly “Bazm-e-Adab” on the last working day.

After the literary session, the last three periods will be used for staff meetings and completion of registers.

In case of teacher shortages or long leave, headteachers and subject specialists will take classes.

All District Education Officers have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the timetable in schools.
