The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has asked beneficiaries to follow the latest instructions for receiving their payments on Friday.
According to the advisory, women who have not yet collected their SIM cards from the Benazir office should do so first.
They should wait 10 to 12 days after receiving the SIM before visiting to collect their financial assistance.
The BISP said that, from this payment cycle, funds will be transferred through wallet accounts. Because of this, beneficiaries will no longer have to collect their payments at a fixed time.
They can withdraw their money whenever they want from any authorised payment point.
Once the payment is transferred to the wallet account, beneficiaries will receive an SMS on their mobile phone.
The message will include the amount deposited, the amount withdrawn, and the bank charges or fees.
According to the programme, the bank charges for the Rs14,500 payment are Rs280.
The programme also said there is no need to rush to withdraw the money. This is because it will remain in the beneficiary’s wallet account. Women can withdraw the full amount or only part of it at any time.
The BISP has asked beneficiaries and the public to remain patient and cooperate during the process.
It said the new wallet account system is being introduced for the first time. Adding that it may take some time to operate smoothly, especially due to the extreme heat.

To make the process easier, the government has extended the deadline for collecting the free Benazir Mobile SIM until June 30.
