Pakistani singer and actor Danyal Zafar, popularly known as Danny Zee, has announced a temporary break from professional commitments after reaching what he described as a “breaking point” following two years of an exhausting work schedule.
In a statement shared on Instagram Stories on Sunday, the artist revealed that constant travelling, television shoots, live performances and album recordings had taken a toll on his health. He said he had spent much of the past two years moving between commitments, often staying in one place for only a few days.
“Managing 2 careers simultaneously is a tumultuous feat,” Danyal wrote, acknowledging the challenges of balancing his acting and music careers.
The singer shared a photograph of an intravenous infusion bag alongside his message, revealing that he had been advised to put his health first. Following that advice, he confirmed that all his professional activities would remain on hold while he focused on recovering.
“I’ll be taking a little break to rest, recover and find my way back to full health,” he wrote, expressing love for his followers.
The announcement comes amid a busy period for the artist, who recently appeared as the lead character in two television dramas, Raqs and Zanjeerain. He has also been promoting his upcoming studio album, STORMS & serenity, scheduled for release on Saturday.
Earlier this month, Danyal had spoken about the physical strain caused by his demanding routine. In an October 6 post, he revealed that he had gone 415 days without taking a day off. He also mentioned that a bout of fever had left him feeling exhausted, highlighting the need to take time away from work.
His latest announcement marks a pause in his professional activities as he prioritises his health and recovery after an extended period of continuous work.
