Pak Star Automobile (Pvt.) Ltd has increased the prices of its metro electric vehicles (EVs) due to a massive increase in the prices of petroleum products.
According to the official notification issued on April 3, 2026, the company said the transfer of the EVs through the sea, the logistics expenses from Karachi port to the factory, and further dealership deliveries have cost the company a lot.

The company officials added that a rise in the petrol price is a key factor in the price hike of the electric vehicles.
The official said that an increase in the petroleum items has caused chaos in the market, leaving no choice for the company but to increase the prices of the vehicles.

The delivery of a Metro electric vehicle will cost Rs5000 extra from April 3, as it is in effect now.
The dealers are instructed to deposit all payments, including the extra amounts that are above the current retail prices.
Petrol price in Pakistan today 2026
The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the nation yesterday, announced a major cut in the price of petrol.
He announced a deduction of Rs80 in the petrol levy, saying that this step has been taken to ease the burden on the common people.
PM Shehbaz said that this levy will remain in effect for one month.
He also stated that a subsidy of Rs100 will also be provided to the bikers.
He said that the increase in global crude oil prices has also affected Pakistan, and the rise in petroleum prices has increased difficulties for the common man.
Shehbaz Sharif said that even the developed and strong nations are dealing with the fuel crisis.
He also said that many other major steps have been taken for the benefit of fellow citizens.
