The government of Punjab has announced Rs100 diesel subsidy per acre for farmers, with the payment to be disbursed through the Kisan Card.

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has announced to provide relief to the farmers by providing them a diesel subsidy of Rs100.

According to a post on X formerly known as Twitter, the Punjab government said the farmers will be given a subsidised amount of Rs100 per acre for diesel.

How to apply for diesel subsidy?

For registering yourself for the diesel subsidy to be given by the government, the government is planning to share guidelines very soon.

There has been no formal statement by any government official regarding the registration process for availing the diesel subsidy.

The government previously, on April 1, 2026, decided to provide a diesel subsidy to the small farmers of Rs1500 upto five acres of land.

The following are the steps to be taken to avail the offer:

  • Send your CNIC to 8070.
  • Visit the official web portal of the agriculture department.
  • Funds will be transferred to the applicant’s respective Kisan Card.

The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the nation yesterday, announced a major cut in the price of petrol.

He announced a deduction of Rs80 in the petrol levy, saying that this step has been taken to ease the burden on the common people.

PM Shehbaz said that this levy will remain in effect for one month.

He also stated that a subsidy of Rs100 will also be provided to the bikers.

He said that the increase in global crude oil prices has also affected Pakistan, and the rise in petroleum prices has increased difficulties for the common man.

Shehbaz Sharif said that even the developed and strong nations are dealing with the fuel crisis.

He also said that many other major steps have been taken for the benefit of fellow citizens.
