US President Donald J Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Saturday stated that the previously announced deadline for action is rapidly approaching.
In a message on Truth Social US President said he had given Iran ten days to either negotiate a deal or reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, warning that only 48 hours remain before severe consequences could follow.
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway that serves as a critical passage for global oil shipments, has long been a flashpoint in Middle East tensions. Trump’s warning comes amid ongoing disputes over Iran’s nuclear program and regional influence, signalling potential escalation in US-Iran relations.
Trump stated that the 10-day deadline is now running out, with only 48 hours remaining. He warned that if a deal is not reached, it would mean the end for Iran.
In another statement, US President Donald Trump said that the destruction of the F-16 aircraft would not affect negotiations with Iran.
President Trump added that this is a war, and we are currently at war. He emphasised that the destruction of the warplane will not hinder the diplomatic process. However, he also said he could not yet comment on what action the US would take if the missing crew member is harmed.
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, commenting on the alleged US and Israel attack near the Bushehr nuclear plant, stated that a radiation release would end life not only in Tehran but also in the capitals of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In a statement shared on social media, he said, remember the West’s anger and outrage over the clashes near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Israel and the United States have bombed our Bushehr facility four times so far.
He further warned that a radiation release would end life not only in Tehran but also in the capitals of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Attacks on our petrochemical facilities also reveal the real objectives behind these actions. However, it is important to note that neither the United States nor Israel has confirmed involvement in the attack.
